The South West Regional Chairman and his Committee invite you to attend the Spring Conference, to be held at the offices of Thring Townsend Lee

& Pembertons solicitors, Bristol (BS1 6BX) on the afternoon of Tuesday 16 March 2010.  This event will focus on the many regulatory and legal

developments impacting on individuals working in the financial services sector, including:

 

*     ALASTAIR GOVIER,  FSA Litigation Partner, Thring Townsend Lee & Pembertions will address the Changes in directors' responsibilities under the 2006 Companies Act.

 

*     FSA's more intrusive approach to Approved Persons, including the interview process for "Significant Influence Functions".

 

*     ROBERT WHARTON, Head of Corporate Financial Services, Thring Townsend Lee & Pembertons will cover the FSA's increasing focus on

individuals in its Enforcement proceedings.

 

·         The impact of the Walker review and FSA's own remuneration code on financial sector staff.

Starting at 2pm (registration from 1.30pm), the conference will include presentations from Thring Townsend Lee & Pembertons, and industry figures as well as the opportunity for discussion providing invaluable insight into the obligations none of us can afford to ignore.

Refreshments (tea/coffee etc) will be available at registration and on conclusion of the event to allow opportunities for networking.
